What is reSITE festival?

As we are all designers we are trying to use the tools of I would say better environment or better urban design, landscape design, better architecture to achieve these goals. We are not interested only in urban planning as such, but we are also interested in processes that are connected with planning.
And I think especially in this field in Central and Eastern Europe we have a kind of deficit. So it means the municipality administrations are quite inefficient and maybe not very well-educated and not well-networked and connected to what is happening elsewhere. In the same time there is not very strong connection between the bottom-up activities and top-down activities in planning. Also I would say the notion or the understanding of urban planning is quite traditional in our space. And that is why we think that we need some more information, some more good practice to be brought here, to be discussed, shared and exchanged.
So the main goal of reSITE is to bring top specialists from all over the world that are dealing with public and municipal administration, with urban design, with cultural activities connected with liveable cities and bring them together. And just share this knowledge.
