In many fields the project generated co-operation between cities and a medialisation of the whole region. Collaboration between institutions which used to compete with one another now generates more visitors, more income and new ideas. Of course, having an image nationally, generates tourism and hence additional income. Besides this, the immaterial effect of a city having a better image is that it attracts international companies. A good image of the city and the region is vital if you want to attract good employees to work here.
