Networking in Media Evolution

Louise Månsson

Since the region is working also with environment we also have the Cleantech city here, which is very much like Media Evolution but regarding environmental issues. Then we have Mobile Heights that works in the area of telecommunication and we co-operate closely with the “Packet Bridge” that has big members like Tetra Pak. So we do have a couple of these other member organizations and clusters. We are trying to work cross-functional on our projects. For our members we organize lunch sessions and round table discussions where we invite also people from the other clusters. We believe that this kind of co-operation can initiate creation of new ideas about how we could actually use media in combination with “old” industries. We want to offer something new for the consumer. And this all started out just by round table discussions, a brainstorming-sessions. And we also have workshops together to take projects one step further. As the rest of Europe we look a lot on the EU money. Some of our projects are being supported by the Southern Sweden region, “Soft Landing” is actually one of those projects since it is the whole region´s interest to grow economically – it is regional development program. We have a couple of different projects. We are trying to have projects and innovative ideas all around the region with different industries, not forgetting the universities and schools.
